Description
This artwork is distinguished by a captivating arrangement of geometric forms, combining circular and rectangular elements in a carefully orchestrated balance. The predominant colours are black and anthracite, applied in sharp flat tints on a light greige background, which allows the forms to stand out with striking clarity. The grey semi-circles intertwine around a central black circle, creating a subtle but powerful contrast, while the coral-coloured circle injects a vibrant energy that draws the eye. The elements unfold with a modular symmetry that reinforces the harmony of the composition. The interplay between these forms suggests a fluid, almost musical movement, inviting the viewer to explore the smooth transitions of the eye from one form to the next. This piece demonstrates an exceptional mastery of geometric minimalism. It evokes simplicity and complexity at once, demonstrating a perfect balance between restraint and expressiveness. In love with our blue planet, Sophie follows her inspiration wherever it comes from, as long as the common thread is, mainly the Environment, more precisely the Natural Elements. She uses contrast to bring out the light, tries to get to the essential, with the grace of the natural.
Sophie is a French artist, born in Paris in 1964. Listed at i-CAC, present on the international art market for 20 years.
