Robillard Puvinel

Chantal Robillard, after training in engraving in Grenoble, met a Korean painting master who taught her calligraphy according to the rules of Chinese art (with a flexible goat hair brush..) This liberation of the pictorial gesture allowed her to explore the landscapes of nature, but also human landscapes, multiple interior faces, faces of cosmopolitan crowds, abundance of dancing bodies, escaping the heavy norms of society..

She seeks to express intimate and original emotions, hidden behind the masks of family, institutional, media life...

The fragmentation of the self through a thousand faces is transformed, thanks to painting and the play of colors, into unity and harmony. The fragmented or stylized bodies find their original energy, express a new dance, like so many signs of a new world.
