Biography
Jacques Grange is a French painter born August 7, 1947 in Macon. In 1961, he met François Angeli, wood engraver and painter, who gave him his first drawing lessons. It was the click. In 1966, he completed his training and entered the Special Institute for Decorative Painting in Reims (SPDR Blot school). In 1980, he moved to Paris and met Jacques Lagrange, Olivier Debré, César and took courses at the ENSBA. His artistic approach is mainly based on a rejection or rather a forgetting of his initial training, hyper-realism. He only retained the technique allowing him to lay down his emotions on his paintings, even if the scars of this technique remain in the breaches of his paintings. Mixed Media / Acrylic / Tipex / Felt. Mainly working in acrylic with a knife, his works are spontaneous, instinctive, ultimately revealing the reflection of the moment "T".
