Biography

"Sculpture is not a matter of age, height or weight: what counts is the effort you put into your project. I mainly sculpt figures imbued with symbols of love and sentiment. I owe my first inspirations to Lazarus Takawira.

Initially a draughtsman, Isaac Choloka began sculpting after meeting Wengaï Chilengu. His talent was soon recognized and he exhibited frequently, notably in Zimbabwe, the United States and the Middle East. Springstone is his most popular material, but he also works with other serpentines and semi-precious stones.
