Biography
Glass artist, born in 1983 in Bulgaria, Desislava Stoilova arrived in France in 2002. She discovered her "subject" at the École Supérieure d'Arts Plastiques in the Hauts-de-France region before continuing her studies at the École of the Métiers d'art in Arras, section Vitrail.
In 2009, she established her workshop in Lille. White space where natural forms and exterior architecture are reflected in the artist's interior. Modular structures to compose and recompose to compress and stretch following the flow of their creation.
Desislava Stoilova explores all the possibilities of glass paste. Sculptures and paintings are thus the result of a long process of elaboration and a constant technical research generating unexpected chromatic and tactile effects.
