Biography
Frédéric Baccalino is a French painter born in Antibes in 1962. His work is part of a quest for hyper-realism, in still-life, always taking care of the utmost detail. For thirty years, this quest has focused on the representation of fruits in all its complexity in terms of color and light.
The artist paints with oil paint, in a smooth execution which belongs to the Dutch style of the 18th century. He exhibits his work everywhere in France (Paris, Saint Paul de Vence, Saint Tropez, Bordeaux...) as well as in Milan.
