Biography

Jean-Jacques Tachdjian, was born in Lille on the 26th of September 1957, he is a French editor, graphic designer, typographer, illustrator, author of comics, and musician.

Autodidact, he founded Sortez la Chienne in 1986 under the pseudonym "El Rotringo". This large format Graphzine (30x40 cm) was published in 1992. We could read Henriette Valium, Rémi, Charlie Schlingo, Bertrand Lecointre, Jean-Christophe Menu, Muzo, Mezzo, Pierre la Police, Patrice Killoffer, Rémi Malingrëy, Jean-François Caritte, Cardon, Frédéric Poincelet, Paquito Bolino, Y5/P5 or even Stéphane Blanquet.

Settled in Lille, inspired by the punk movement and Californian underground comics, Jean-Jacques Tachdjian realized many typographies under fanciful names (Capillaire, Cassoc, Cérébrale, Chiraquia, Délatio, Draculine, Illisible...), gathered in the collection Radiateur®fontes.
