Biography
Patrick Nuper is a self-taught painter who was born in 1969 in Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe). After a dance career of 15 years, he devoted himself to painting.
His world is a collection of traces and marks, carrying messages, where the question of identity is seen as an interrogation of the past in connection with a future that is yet to be built.
His work is composed of residues, ink, pastels, coatings, marouflaged papers and symbols. He tries to deliver a message of daily life through his lexicon, for a viewer who is willing to stop and dig in.
