Biography
Anna Mierzejewska is a Polish artist born in 1970. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Wrocaw after studying in the lithography studio of Professor Basaj and Frackiewicz. In 1998, she obtained a degree in painting from the studio of Professor Konrand Jarodzki. She got a scholarship and studied at the St.Catherine University in St.Paul, Minesota and in 2007, she obtained a grant from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
About her artistic work, the artist said she feels the need of expressing through her paintings, the primitive expression, in its purest state, which is a causing power of artistic creation. Simultaneously, she also wants to find, through her art, the fusion of all things and ideas that make her as a woman.
Anna Mierzejewska has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions in Poland, Germany, Lithuania, France, the United States and Great Britain.
