Biography

The mysterious panoramic views of Gonzalo Prieto Cordero, can be attributed to the Romantico-Symbolist tradition, aesthetic orientation where the landscape has functioned as an ideal vehicle for the expression of emotions.

Born in 1971 in San Sebastian, he studied Agricultural Engineering. His pictorial training took place in the Leonés Art Center (Spain), under the direction of its director, László Bartha. Demanding self-taught, he appropriated a thorough knowledge of painting. Creator of a great eloquence, Gonzalo Prieto Cordero exercises in different styles and mediums. Holder of many awards, he has made known his work, including through his landscape representations whose very dynamic organization seems to infuse novelty, skill, light, sensitivity and fluidity.

Sometimes, some of his works receive a layer of fluorescent paint that makes them visible in the dark.
