Biography
Ulie Schwab, an abstract painter of German origin, has lived in the Lake Geneva region since 1972. After having worked in various artistic spheres such as sculpture, ceramics, Ikebana and music, she studied painting for many years, amongst others at the Ecole ABC de Paris. She opened her own studio in Bursins in 2009. Since then, she has devoted herself entirely to her art.
Her style, technique and blend of colours are very personal. The creation of reliefs, various colour layers and the inclusion of minerals confer to her paintings a special light and reflection. Her works exhale at the same time a certain serenity and a positive energy. The study and practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine have strongly influenced her artistic approach. Her favorite themes evolve around the energies of the universe, the energies of mankind and nature.
