Biography
My name is Stewart Carroll and i was born and live on the Fylde Coast. I am 73 years of age and developed this art form 21years ago after retiring from my trade as a French Polisher, taught to me by my father.
I went on to refurbish and restore antique furniture in Germany where i lived for 10 years.
Fiction Art is derived from Shellac and Spirit Colour.
The whole process from start to finish takes 6 months to create a hard glossy finish. The high shine is reflective and will fade if placed in direct sunlight.
During the drying time, natural elements may determine the finish, making each piece totally unique and unpredictable.
