Biography
Kevin Perkins is an American artist working from his home studio in Dallas, Texas. His practice encompasses landscape and figurative paintings in which he pulls technique and material from the canon of art history as well as life experience.
Kevin's exploration in painting intends to draw the viewer into the space of the work. With his landscapes this is done in various ways: through colour, a sense of depth and light and an element of mystery. His works are meant to be experienced as windows to vaguely familiar spaces that invite the viewer in. It is this vein in which Kevin explores portraiture. Kevin holds a BFA in Communication Design from Louisiana Tech University's School of Art.
