Description
„Lilies Pond" belongs to the Inner Landscapes series — contemplative landscapes in which nature appears as a memory and functions as an autonomous decorative object.
The quiet of the morning, the still surface of the water, and the soft ornamental structure of the lines create a sense of freshness and inner balance — a state that emerges in moments of pure contemplation.
The work is created using a mixed technique, with colored pencils playing the central role — a material inevitably associated with childhood.
It carries the simple, direct emotion of early years, when the world feels endless and happiness is clear and easily recognizable.
Using colored pencils becomes a way to connect two dimensions: childhood impressions and the present moment.
It conveys the sense of calm and bright happiness that arises when a person returns to their earliest memories.
The landscape does not strive for realism; it communicates mood and a state of quiet.
Nature exists outside of time, in its own gentle rhythm, becoming a metaphor for inner peace and slow contemplation.
Presentation
Olena Kishkurno was born in Ukraine in 1976.
She graduated from Kharkiv State academy of design and arts with a master's degree as a restorer of easel and monumental painting. Since 2022 lives in Germany.
Olena is an artist who explores the changes in humans resulting from the clash with the digital world, their integration into this realm, and subsequently, the loss of connection with their original essence.
The main mediums are painting and graphics. Works with oil painting, watercolor, acrylic, mixed media.
