Description
This captivating sculpture depicts a stylized bird, crafted from an ingenious assembly of recycled metal materials, primarily used jigsaw blades. The thin metal blades, skillfully welded together, compose the body and wings, creating an airy and harmonious skeleton. The work is distinguished by the bold use of a bright red accent for the eye, with this suspended stone immediately catching the eye. The long beak and accentuated claws add a dynamic and expressive dimension. The spiraling tail adds a touch of movement and modernity, demonstrating remarkable technical mastery. This piece embodies a successful marriage of contemporary art, outsider art, and ecology, revealing the hidden beauty of abandoned materials. Presentation
Born October 22, 1946 in Santiago, Chile, this pigeon has lived for twenty years in the south of France. Party of Santiago following the military coup of 1973, he first lived in several Latin countries US before coming to nest on the Provençal lands. As a graphic designer, he worked in the Argentine, Mexican and Chilean media who fought for freedom of expression and the end of dictatorships; today as an artist, he kept the footprints of its origins and paints, sculpts and makes installations with materials picked up here and there.
Through a free illustration, color, material and profusion, he deposits on various substrates (wood, canvas, cardboard, plexiglass, varied recycling equipment ) images that he caught on the fly, during his travel and contact with disabilities and other artists. Gleaner inveterate, it also fills with humor and poetry devious objects or blank media while pointing his brushes and pencils on the contradictions of our globalized world.
