Carlos Lopes Neto

Carlos Lopes Neto is a visual artist born in 1972, who lives in Malause, in Tarn and Garonne. His training in welding taught him to work with matter. Very soon, he became passionate for artistic creation and started doing statuettes. Howver, he did not has a lot of time to dedicate to art, which he put on a second plan. It was not until 2008, after recovering from a long illness that he started painting.

Carlos Lopes Neto draws his inspiration from his surroundings and from his social interactions to paint. His purpose is to transcribe on the canvases and on his statuettes the emotions and the joyfulness that he observes around him. Passionate about art which he considers as a therapy, he places life and human beings at the heart of his pictorial work. Bright colors take hold of female bodies, of entwined couples or simply of united families. The artist paints with acrylics, inscribing his pieces in a resolutely modern, benevolent and joyfull world.

Carlos Lopes Neto exhibited his work for the first time in 2013 in Moissac, for the "Pintemps m'a dit".
