Alexandre Félix

Grew up in Paris, Alexandre Félix lives between the French capital of fashion and the artistic capital, Berlin. After a bachelors in Artistic direction and creative advertising, he joined an advertising agency and Paris becomes a more strategic choice for the rest of his professional career.

This life suits him only for a while and he decides to make a drastic change and travels to New Zealand and then the Reunion Islands. This is when photography takes up a whole new meaning for Alexandre Felix. Equipped with a new reflex camera and a big angle, he goes around hunting for landscapes and is far from being disappointed at the end of his journey.

When he comes back to France, he settles down in Montreuil in a studio with his friends, practicing motion design and gradually comes back to fashion while working as an assistant at the Rouchon Studio in Paris, one of the most important in France.

He rubs shoulders with major photographers in his surroundings like David Sims, Karim Sadli and JB Mondino. His artistic sensitivity, experience in advertising and professional network are going to shape his picture. The composition of images remains key and also the symbolism of shapes or color, not to mention light's importance, his fashion and landscape photos leave nothing to chance.

In this black and white series, the models are captured while moving, and don't lose any important personality trait, they are depicted in full screen or portrait.

Felix's photos have been published in one of the most famous fashion magazines. They were also published in Vogue.

He's aware of the several issues that separate his profession from his artistic approach, however he still desires to maintain and improve this delicate balance between his art, with more commercial work. IN 2016, he began a residency in Berlin with other artists for a collective exhibition and to get to know other techniques like painting, drawing and even wood engraving.
