Biography
Luca Gnizio is a designer, born in 1981 in Italy. He is interested by environmental and social questions,therefore he focuses his work around these problems.
He was discovered in 2010 by the artist, Kenji Kawasaki and then later on by Marva Griffin.
Luca Gnizio uses recycled materials, derived from the consuming society, to create innovative works. He gives waste a new useful life by diverting them from their previous function, and turning them into objects filled with messages and meanings.
Luca Gnizio is part of the new industrial designers, whose objective is to twist and re-use materials which can still be useful.
He works with Levi Strauss Italy, to encourage consumers to recycle their old jeans.
Luca Gnizio participated during the Tokyo Design Week, and Satellite fair, a major event in the world of industrial design.
