Born in Seoul, in 1973, Jung Min Choi choose first the sculpture, that he studies from 1992 to 1997 at the Suwon University, one of the best of the country. From the start, the medias images, their repetition, their saturation are central to Jung Min work and research. His first realizations develop also the idea of a style persistence in contemporary art, and that will last until now.
In 1999, he moves to France, and starts his studies in visual arts at Paris I-Sorbonne University, under the direction of Michel Sicard. His search are ending in a thesis, titled "Historical meaning and style persistence in contemporary art". He graduated Doctor of visual arts in Januray 2014.
Since his moving to Paris, he has also been working as a press correspondent for korean newspapers.
