Biografía
Ricky Cohete nació en un pueblo costero de Ecuador, pero se crió principalmente en Miami. La luz de Florida lo llevó a explorar la fotografía. Las duras luces y sombras eran fáciles de encontrar en este clima caluroso. El efecto nítido y refinado de este tipo de condiciones de iluminación se ha convertido en una necesidad para evitar los entornos de estudio. De formación autodidacta, al fotografiar a los bailarines de ballet de la ciudad de Miami, comenzó a dedicar más tiempo a la forma masculina.
Trabaja con ellos fuera de su espacio seguro (estudio de ensayo) y llévalos afuera, en la arena o en el agua, creando una dinámica que ha dado lugar a nuevas composiciones. Inspirado por la mitología de la cultura del tarot y la astrología, incorporó algunos de estos elementos a lo largo de su obra. Últimamente ha autoeditado un libro de fotografía que incluía: poemas breves y bocetos titulado "Blanco".
