Presentación
Olesya Lishaeva is an artist for whom color and rhythm are the key expressive means. Regardless of the chosen medium, it is through color relations and the rhythmic organization of space that she forms an image, conveys a state and builds a composition. Color acts not only as a visual element, but also as a way of thinking and the main tool for interacting with reality.
She graduated from the Samokish Art College and the St. Petersburg University of Trade Unions with a degree in art history.
The artist works at the junction of figurative and abstract painting, mainly in the genre of landscape. The main medium is painting (acrylic, oil), based on plein—air practice. In his works, he combines observation of nature with generalization of form, focusing on color relations, rhythm and texture of the painting layer. The key topics are the interaction of man and the environment, the memory of a place, the passage of time and the emotional perception of space.
In his practice, he draws on the traditions of the avant-garde, Impressionism and post-Impressionism. Among the significant landmarks are Kazimir Malevich, Wassily Kandinsky, Claude Monet, Henri Matisse and Paul Klee, as well as the aesthetics of Fauvism.
An important impulse was a trip to Tunisia, where attention to the ornaments of North Africa increased interest in rhythm, plasticity of form, archetypal structures and purity of color as an independent expressive category.
Since 2001, he has participated in Russian exhibitions and art symposia. Winner of the Antonio Gualda International Painting Competition (Granada, Spain, 2nd place).
Member of the Union of Artists of Russia, the Union of Artists of Ukraine and the UNESCO International Association of Fine Arts.

In my practice, I consider painting as a way of thinking and a form of cognition of the world. For me, it is important not so much to reproduce what is visible, as to identify the internal structure of space through color, rhythm and the interaction of forms. The landscape becomes an environment where memory, time, and personal experience intersect. I strive to create an image where the concrete dissolves into the universal, and color acts as a carrier of meaning and emotional state.
