Biography
Gerwin Schmidt lives as a designer and painter in Munich.
From 1990-92 he studied communication design at the GH Kassel and from 1992-97 communication design (with Gunther Rambow) and painting (with Günther Förg) at the HfG Karlsruhe. In addition to his award-winning work as a designer, he taught communication design at universities in Germany and abroad. He has been a professor at the ABK Stuttgart since 2003. In 2003 he was elected to the AGI (Alliance Graphique Internationale). Since 2019 he has been intensifying his free work as an artist and painter.
