Presentation

Sabek is a street artist who was born in 1981 in Spain and still lives there. He was trained more by the street rather than at school, he began painting at the age of 16.

He drew inspiration from mundane streets, in those moments which seemed either unstable or difficult.

With graffiti, he was able to develop a poetic and sensitive universe. Typograhy and iconography are also an inspiration which give his paintings graphic strokes.

Animals, pyramids and skulls are recurrent patterns in his works. Bears or eagles, are painted entirely in black without any eyes. However, these wild beasts are camouflaged in their urban environment.

Sometimes accompanied by human beings, the animals question the condition of each one of them in the environment and the importance of nature. Sabek's works can be seen of sections of walls under great dimensions, capturing the attention of the passer-by.

In 2016, Sabek was able to meet street-art professionals and earn fame by participating in Pow Wow Worcester, the international festival of mural arts.
