Description
This sculptural work features a slender, resolutely contemporary cylinder made of ceramic. The textured surface is decorated with vertical striations spanning its entire height, giving a dynamic and organic visual effect. With a dark and earthy hue, the piece evokes the bark of a tree, reinforcing the interaction between art and nature. The apparent simplicity of its form contrasts with the complexity of the surface details, evoking a feeling of both robustness and elegance. The play of light and shadow on the grooves accentuates its depth and subtly animates the object. This creation is distinguished by its minimalist approach, evoking both a modern interpretation and a reference to ancestral natural forms. It demonstrates remarkable technical mastery, merging contemporary aesthetics with inspirations drawn from the natural world.

Jil, close to nature, is sensitive to the movements that animate it, in particular those of the wind which generate the waves and the foam of the oceans, which sculpt and shape the reliefs of the mountains.
