Biography
Tarcisio Pereyra was born in Jalpa, Zac, Mexico in 1953.
In the seventies, he entered the Autonomous University of Zacatecas, then, while he was a high school teacher, he participated in the engraving workshop of the Francisco Goitia museum and followed a training in drawing with professor Emilio Carrasco at the UAZ plastic arts workshop where he created the Taplas group (1982-1987).
In 1989 Tarcicio entered the CERART ceramics workshop (1988-1992) then the El Convento workshop (1992-1997) which familiarized him with working the earth and carried out his first individual projects. As a self-taught painter, he moves from landscape to synthetic forms of landscape until he reaches abstraction.
Tarcisio Pereyra was also part of the El Pasillo (2009-2011) and Grupo Negro (2008-2018) collectives. As a rule not to participate in competitions, some of his works have entered private collections in Mexico, United States, Argentina, France and Spain. Tarcicio has presented a dozen individual exhibitions and participated in 70 group exhibitions.
In 2018, he ended his short life at the age of 65.
