Biography
Born in 1981, Benjamin Laurent Aman lives and works at the Cité des Arts in Paris.
Benjamin Laurent Aman is a visual and sound artist whose work oscillates between drawing, sculpture and sound. The different mediums he uses echo each other and embrace a wide range of physical, mental and emotional perceptions.
By using collage techniques, Aman?s constructions invite the public to travel through undetermined places.
Since 2005, the work of Benjamin Laurent Aman has been exhibited in many prestigious collective exhibitions (Georges Pompidou Center in Paris, ACC Nei Liicht Luxembourg, Selasar Sunaryo Museum Bandung, Space London) and in solo shows (Styx Projects, Able Kunstverein in Berlin, Kunstraum Michael Barthel in Leipzig).
After 2007, the artist has had several performance everywhere in Europe. He was invited by festivals as well as radios shows at the 10th Berlin Biennale.
