Biography
Miko-R is a self-taught French artist. She is passionate about painting since she is a teenager, when she discovered the work of Magritte, Vasarely, Folon and Mondrian.
She is inspired by Pop art and its bright colors, by Klein, Soulages and Keith Haring. An artist with diverse influences, Miko-R is passionate about street art and its ephemeral expression as well.
Miko-R started by doing monochrome paintings, with warm colors, doing a deep work on the subject searching for relief. Street art allows her to combine painting and volume. Recenty, she has added a new dynamic to her creations. Miko-R does sculptures with fiberglass, which she then paints with colors, words and many others messages.
Her work does not lack humor or energy, and it is characterized by the generosity of the artist and by the shapes she uses.
