Presentation

At the end of the Second World War, in 1946, after having trained, Gino Cenedese (1907-1973) decided to create his own glassworks in partnership with the great master glassmakers of the time: Alfredo Barbini, Angelo Tosi and Pietro Scaramal.

Gino Cenedese crosses and mixes the tradition of Venetian glassmaking, in line with the masters of the 18th century with modern techniques and his own sensitivity.

Thus, even if he uses traditional techniques such as blown glass, he introduces the lines and themes of contemporary art in vases, glasses and sculptures.

He will collaborate with many artists, in particular the sculptor Napoleone Matuzzini, whom he will help to create a set of bas reliefs or the designer Fulvio Bianconi whose creations will be exhibited at the Venice Biennale in 1954.

The Cenedese workshop is then a reference, multiplying artistic collaborations without neglecting the fundamentals. Even today, the workshop lives and produces, maintained in excellence by the heirs of the master.
