Presentation

The more we try to read his works, the less obvious the subject seems to us. Without ever falling into his certainties, he expresses his relationship with his condition as an artist. Master the material to master yourself? For him, the gesture is more related to experimentation than to execution or mastery itself. The traits are spontaneous, the result of an action. Jacques Soulard does not choose the obvious, but rather the appearance without a spirit of censorship. “I am the raw material, a human being tested by art. I don't know and that's why I continue. It is an internal state that is taking shape. I sculpt with my feelings, I honestly have the impression that each creation is the formation of a part of my identity.” The artist develops his own behavioral study before testing it against a new reality.
