Presentation

Marlène Delcambre is a French visual artist, using words and images as a medium for a narration of her life through herself and through others.

Influenced by her expertise in psychiatry and neuropsychology, she became known through her series “From dissonance of time to silence” and “Phantasmagoria of absence” where she stages characters by playing on their physical and not psychic presence. in pictorial decorations. In some of her series, she appears anonymously among her characters.

In her last works, she focuses on the self-portrait and becomes her only character.

"The black line" and "The rhythmic ideal in coincidence with oneself" totally obscure the psychic aspect to concentrate on its graphic position in space.

In this new series, Marlène pays homage to Newton's bathers by staging herself, in a mental dissociation where reality is always optional, and where the will to overcome illusion exceeds any fiction.

She became a member of the Société des Poetes Français by submitting twenty statements in poetic prose that she will send, in audio form, to strangers she observed for several months.
