Biography
Born in 1989 in Moscow, Maria Bovenko has been into sketching and art since early childhood. Traveling around, looking out of the train window she always had a gel pen ready to drop a line. In Moscow she completed her studies in sociology and took on graphic design and art studies. Since then she's been working as a freelancer, making some illustration, ceramics, street art projects in Europe.
"It all starts with an impulse, an impulse to encounter your model. Who are you? - that is the question I'm posing to my model".
Maria Bovenko is currently based in Chamonix, living with her family and a lovely dog Lys.
