Jean-Luc Georges is a French artist born in northern France. He currently lives and works in Lyon.
Jean-Luc Georges work emanates strenght, determination, through the colors as well as in their composition. He uses a variety of techniques and he learns each one of them through an autodidactic process where he thinks and works to finally master said technique. On wood panels, he applies resin, industrial paint, wood, paper, cloth and aerosol bomb.
He experiments with his paintings giving them a raw aspect that comes directly from intuition. He starts with an abstract interpretation of Cubist influence, before further researches in the reinvention of the form and structure.
He has exhibited sucessively in Geneva, Paris, Lyon, and Miami and received an award from the Society of Fine Arts of Lyon in 2006.
