Gene Barbe is British, he was born in North London in 1975. His self-taught journey led him to painting in the early 2000s. By accepting all the possible origins and destinations that the individual meets, Gene Barbe paints instinctively , beyond its own identity, and tries to achieve a universal, poetic and imperfect presence, celebrating the ancestral and the immediate.
