Description
This original impasto painting was created on a high-quality canvas (30/40 cm) with a palette knife, using Tempera and environmentally friendly oil colors with natural pigment. Color on computer monitors may vary. The white edges of the painting are part of the painting. The artwork is framed. Painting is covered with UV varnish. Signed back. Ready to hang. One-of-a-Kind Painting. Certificate is attached. All rights reserved.
The combination of tempera and oil gives the painting a unique texture and depth. Oil paints provide smooth transitions of tones, while tempera adds a matte finish and a certain graininess that emphasizes the texture of the mountain slopes and snow.
The impressionistic style of brushstrokes conveys the movement and texture of the snow. Painterly strokes of the palette knife do not strive for photorealism, but rather convey an emotional perception of nature. This gives the painting a feeling of freshness and spontaneity.
"Mountain Quest" is not just a landscape image, but an emotional invitation to reflect on the power and beauty of the surrounding world, on the desire to achieve a goal and learn something new.
Presentation
Vik Schroeder was born in Ukraine, and is currently based in Switzerland. She spent years in the scientific field, leaving at the peak of career to devote herself to painting. Her joyful, vivid artworks are created using natural oils with natural pigments, and by using materials such as sand, clay and rock to produce her mixed-media pieces.
Her positive energy shines through her expressive paintings, inspiring pleasant emotions and a sense of joy.
