Description
This artwork presents a striking geometric composition, featuring three distinct horizontal strips stacked upon a deep black background. The uppermost strip exudes an abstract allure with its textured black and gray gradient, suggestive of a stormy sky or churning seas. Beneath it, a narrower strip showcases a stark, weathered white band, its clean edges contrasting sharply with the darker tones above. The bottom two strips radiate warmth and earthiness, each exhibiting variations of beige and brown, mimicking the rugged textures of aged parchment or sun-baked soil. The juxtaposition of colors and textures creates a narrative of natural elements and temporal progression. This piece uniquely marries minimalism with profound symbolic depth, inviting viewers to explore themes of contrast and transformation within its deceptively simple structure.

Jean-Luc Veret is a French artist born in 1953 who lives & works between Paris & Corancy, France. He recognizes himself as a protean artist. He is indeed graduated of Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts of Paris & Conservatoire National des Arts & Métiers. This originality is easily found in his artworks. They are entirely part of abstraction in playing a constant game between forms ans colors. The latter are opposing and harmonizing. For the painter, his artworks are a pure contrast between the visible and the invisible.
