Pauline Beck

France • 1995

A young artist in tune with her relationship with the land who knows how to make the living so close and mysterious at the same time.

Biography

Pauline Beck is a graduate of the Beaux-Arts de Paris.
Her practice spans from orchard to studio, connecting interior and exterior spaces, humans and non- humans, with a deep interest in interweaving forms of knowledge.
Through shaping, printmaking, writing, and vernacular techniques—such as distillation, archiving, and seed banking—she celebrates landscapes and their stories in sensorial works where the everyday and the anecdotal sustain a reflection on the disappearance or reemergence of universal narratives.

She is currently collaborating with the French National Museum of Natural History on a research project about seeds,
She has also worked with the CIAV in Meisenthal and the Coubertin Foundry.
Her work has been shown in various venues, including Le Voyage à Nantes, L'Atelier Blanc, and CAC Meymac.
