Inspired by European winter customs and carnival traditions, he creates contemporary archetypes: the , wrapped in relics of an ecologically devastated world; the , a smoking scapegoat for environmental destruction; or the , whose body, made of plastic objects, conjures up both prosperity and overconsumption. Each figure is a multifaceted reflection on fear, identity, and ritual forms of expression in the postdigital present.

Bonet's work avoids any simplification of AI as a mere tool. His images are new mythical languages—forged from human intuition, machine logic, and cultural memory. This creates speculative artifacts of a world grappling with surveillance, migration, climate collapse, and fragile sense of belonging.

With his work, Julien Bonet creates visual myths that appear both archaic and urgently contemporary – and sharpen our awareness of the paradoxes of our time.
