Hervé Perdriel

Each photograph is an ID that works like a mise en abîme, a treasure hunt: luminous faces are detached from black backgrounds, inviting for a look that takes a double distance from the portrait.

From a distance, these are color portraits. At a closer look, the matter from which they are made reveals itself: it is a multitude of photographs. Hervé Perdirel makes an intimate portrait out of each of these photographs, an invisible ?ID? of a fictional or of a real character.
