Biography

Visual artist Teurk explores the boundaries between science, sculpture, video, and steel canvas prints, creating a universe at the intersection of art and matter. After experimenting with various mediums, he found a preferred medium in steel, now at the heart of his work, which is now presented in galleries.

Using a lapidary, he sculpts steel sheets of varying thicknesses, carving away at the material with raw energy. This process reveals an unsuspected light nestled in the depths of the steel, giving rise to works of sincere, primitive, and almost organic brutality.

His artistic approach also questions the chaos of waves in a world saturated with invisible vibrations. Using magnets and ferromagnetic liquids, he makes these abstract forces visible, transforming them into deformed and fascinating structures that embody a balance between control and chaos.

A member of the early 1990s generation of graffiti artists, Teurk's work is part of the post-graffiti movement, which he considers a symbol of nobility. His works reflect a passionate commitment, blending creative freedom and a spirit of cohesion, in a world where asserting one's passions and values becomes a vital act.
