Galerie Liminal presents OXYDATIONS, its second group exhibition featuring TEURK, ANTON, and Jérémy VATUTIN. These three artists explore, through raw materials and gestural abstraction, the boundaries between figuration and abstraction, the intimate and the monumental.
Oxidation, a natural phenomenon of material transformation, becomes an artistic vehicle here, symbolizing the passage of time and the ephemeral. The artists exploit this process to reveal textures, colors, and metamorphoses, while questioning the nature and evolution of matter.
TEURK engraves steel, playing with light to unveil a raw energy and a striking harmony. He also experiments with ferromagnetic liquid on magnetic plates, exploring magnetic fields with a poetic touch. ANTON transforms the landscape into geometric bas-reliefs, rendering nature increasingly abstract with the changing seasons to reveal its essence. Jérémy Vatusin elevates zinc and lead plates, patinated by time, creating works that blend raw artifacts and geometric patterns, inviting reflection on wear and transformation.
OXIDATIONS offers a sensory immersion into the material, where figuration and abstraction intertwine to offer a new vision of the world and of time.
