Biography
Irène Bou was born in 1982 in Caracas, Venezuela. She graduated in Latin America at Armando Reverón visual arts Institute. She then embarked on an adventure for Europe and moved to Spain, her father's homeland.
She refuses to be compared with Basquait, her work has put down roots in the trails of expressionist masters like Egon Schiele. In her work, acrylic, charcoal, lead pastel and lacquer complete one another to create characters who don't have an identity, but depict deep, meaningful and subtle stories from mundane life but also melancholic and a dehumanized life. A unique style, her art stands out and this has led her to regularly exhibit in her homeland but also her adopted country, including France.
