Anrad Gallery specialises in traditional and contemporary Indian art, working closely with master artists whose practices are rooted in living cultural traditions.

Founded in 2018 by Anu Nayar, the gallery is built on long-term relationships with artists and their communities across the subcontinent. Through exhibitions, art fairs, and editorial writing, Anrad Gallery brings greater visibility to practices that are often overlooked within the global art market.

Many of the works we present draw on visual languages refined over generations, from miniature painting to folk and tribal traditions. While deeply connected to their regional histories, these practices remain active and evolving in the hands of contemporary artists.

At Anrad Gallery we encourage a slower way of engaging with art, one that values attention, craftsmanship, and the stories embedded within each work. Collecting, in this sense, becomes less about acquisition and more about guardianship of living artistic lineages.

Operating as an independent and nomadic gallery, Anrad Gallery presents work through pop-up exhibitions, art fairs, and digital platforms. Alongside this programme, our Substack essays and artist conversations explore the histories, techniques, and ideas that shape the works we present.
