"My embroideries are an invocation to Pachamama. For me, she is the destructive force of a hurricane and the inexhaustible abundance for those who know how to respect her. She is the one who stands through our fragile membranes. She is also the one who screams at our obese bodies for having consumed too much of this ultra-processed, indi-gesture food. Pachamama is not only a pretty landscape where rivers flow and forests are born. She is also Life, Death, and Illness for those who have flouted her. In a society that never ceases to give birth to ease, without caring about reality, I heard her cry. Thread after thread, I have never stopped discovering her, relearning to listen to her, feel her, touch her, see her, to better tell you about her. Like an Arpillera, I embroider this anger, this fear, this feeling of injustice, of an Earth that is collapsing before our eyes. »
