Alfons Alt, born in Illertissen (Germany) in 1962
Alfons Alt revisits ancient methods of photography with a technique of unique prints that he called "Altotype". The photographic process is pigmentary and not silver. He chooses the subjects behind his camera and acts on his prints as a chemist, engraver or painter and uses many media: canvas, paper, wood, glass, copper, zinc ...
Hervé Gloaguen, born in Rennes (France) in 1937
His images, which reflect his passion for jazz and the pictorial art of his time since the 1960s, make him a historical witness of this period. Sometimes light and fugitive, sometimes more realistic, they seem to take the measure of what surrounds it while seeking the tone that harmonizes with the subject. He is one of the founders of the Viva news agency, and is present in several museums around the world.
Tim HALL, born in London (England) in 1966
Tim Hall begins his career in Hong Kong and says that the works of Mark Rothko is one founders of his approach. It plunges our eyes into the immensity of the desert or towards the infinite horizon of the sea, evoking in a refined approach of a rare suggestive power of distant but real worlds. This attachment to pictorial minimalism makes him say that "the simpler the image, the more powerful it becomes".
Marc RIBOUD, born in Lyon (France) en 1923 - Dead in 2016
Marc Riboud is author of some of the most famous photos of the twentieth century, including "The painter of the Eiffel Tower". From photographs to photographs, from country to country, from encounters to encounters, from life to life, Marc Riboud has spent his life capturing in the eyes of men their emotions, and also the atmosphere of their country that shapes them. His work is presented in numerous galleries and museums in France and abroad.
Peter Zupnik, born in Levoca (Slovaquia) in 1961
He seeks a snapshot of everyday life from which he brings out a zest of absurdity or Slavic humor. And this, by laying a very subtle pastel highlight that makes each print unique. Coming from the FAMU, he is considered by Daniela Mrazkova, as one of the essential photographers released from this famous school in the 80s. His photographs are the subject of numerous exhibitions in Europe and the United States.
