The exhibition Between Surface, organized in collaboration between Hybrid's Crib, NYCE, and PCE, offers a sensory and conceptual exploration of matter in contemporary art. It invites viewers to look beyond appearances to reveal the layers, textures, and narratives buried within materials. By favoring mixed media—sculpture, recycling, textiles, collage, and photography—Between Surface questions the boundary between surface and depth, between the visible and the tangible. In a context dominated by digital technology, the exhibition reaffirms the value of contact, relief, and traces, making materiality an experience in its own right. It brings together works that establish a sensitive dialogue between gestures, materials, and memories. Each creation thus becomes a space where matter and perception meet, between individual expression and sensory resonance.
