Oreka, which means "balance" in Basque, is not limited to the title of the new exhibition by Alberto Letamendi; it embodies the deep philosophy and the very essence of his artistic research.

Behind each of his works unfolds a vibrant pictorial background, a dense and free material where color seems to organize itself in apparent chaos. Human figures gradually emerge from this surface, whose presence establishes a principle of balance within the composition. They become the anchor point of the gaze, structuring the pictorial space while evoking communities where ties, exchanges, tensions, and forms of coexistence are woven.

Between the spontaneity of the material and the silent rigor of human presences, Alberto Letamendi develops a balance of great subtlety: a precarious state, constantly questioned, but never truly broken. It is in this fertile tension between disorder and harmony, between movement and stability, that the entire singularity of his plastic language and the depth of his artistic vision are expressed.
