OA Fine Art is pleased to present Color Rituals, a solo exhibition by American artist Hunt Slonem, a major figure in the contemporary art scene.
For Hunt Slonem, painting becomes a ritual. Each canvas becomes a meditative act where the repeated, almost incantatory gesture evokes a spiritual energy. His famous rabbits, tropical birds, and butterflies are not simple motifs: they are emblems of an inner world where nature, memory, and the sacred intertwine.
Color, vibrant and abundant, occupies the center of his pictorial language. It pulses, unfolds, and invades the space like a breath. In this chromatic profusion, a mystical dimension emerges: the image repeats itself, overlaps, until it becomes a form of visual mantra.
His universe draws on abstract expressionism, pop art, and a decidedly baroque taste, yet asserts itself in a radical singularity: that of a painter who transforms repetition into celebration, painting into prayer.
Color Rituals thus offers a journey to the heart of a work where the boundary between nature and the supernatural is erased, and where each piece becomes a contemporary icon, vibrant with life, memory, and light.
