Rosie Nangala Flemming was born around 1928. The exact date is unknown as at the time, her people were predominantly nomadic.
In the 1940's, both she and her husband settled at the community of Yuendumu.
In the mid 1980's, Rosie joined the Warlukurlangu Artists Aboriginal Corporation and aboriginal run art centre and was one of the very first to paint canvases with acrylic. Truly, a pioneer.
Rosie paints both her parent's dreamings that relate to the landscape and animals of the region..in particular water and fire.
Rosie is represented in major international collections including the National Gallery of Victoria, the Seattle Art Museum and the Brighton and Hove Museums and Art Galleries.
A pioneer and established artist.
