Marlis Lepicnik

Marlis Lepicnik finds her artistic path starting from fashion design and the development of bodies landscapes. She attended nude courses with Prof. Rudolf Fuchs at the Academy of Applied Arts in Vienna and with Mag. Susanne Axmann in Feldkirchen, which led her to the artistic transformation of the living models.

In recent years, with the label “AKTuelles", she has taken part in numerous exhibitions in Austria /Vienna, Bleiburg, St. Kanzian, Keutschach, Klagenfurt), Italy (Trieste, Friuli), Germany (Koln) and Slovenia. She is a member of the Austrian Art Association and the cultural initiative MovementINCulture.

Life drawing is one of her main sources of artistic inspiration and she has made a large number of these works in pencil or charcoal on a paper that is pre-processed or post-processed with color directly in the studio. In addition, her work ranges from watercolors to mixed media and acrylic paintings on linen. Marlis mainly works in series of works on specific topics coordinated with the references of the exhibition sites.
