PIXOTE

Brazil

Biography

PIXOTE is a Brazilian-born street artist known for his bold, cryptic letterforms inspired by pixação—a graffiti style native to Brazil. After moving to New York City in 1994, he merged the raw energy of Rio's street culture with the skateboarding, music, and graffiti scene of the Lower East Side, gradually earning respect within NYC's tightly knit graffiti community.

Founder of the TWD (The Warrior Dream) crew, PIXOTE creates street art, installations, and fine art rooted in a distinctive aesthetic that blends urban calligraphy with expressionist influence. TWD has exhibited at Art Basel Miami, showcasing paintings, drawings, and posters that reflect the group's shared passion for music, design, and art.

PIXOTE's work has attracted collaborations with musicians, hotels, restaurants, and designers in the U.S. and Brazil. Despite his international success, he remains deeply connected to his Brazilian roots, using his art to preserve and elevate the visual language of pixação across the global art scene.
